1. SWITCH OF THE IMMUNE SYSTEM:
HYPOTHALAMUS + LIVER + NERVOUS SYSTEM
Your parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous system come into balance, which lowers stress hormones – and this is the main condition for the immune system to function at all, for the organism to detoxify, and to regenerate. The switch between death and life.
Why is it so valuable to turn it on?
HYPOTHALAMUS
The hypothalamus is your main switch that turns off stress and turns on rejuvenating hormones: from growth hormone all the way to oxytocin – the hormone of love. When your hypothalamus is strong and juicy, your emotions are balanced; fear and panic are gone, trauma is healed. This important gland also controls your appetite, thyroid, circulation… it is key for youthful brain function! A strong and juicy hypothalamus is your best motivator and inspirer, the compass of your vision and self-trust.
LIVER
When your liver is strong and juicy, your organism is detoxified, rejuvenated, full of life and vitality. Your immune system works excellently, you are full of courage, clarity, decisiveness, energy, and you live your purpose.
NERVOUS SYSTEM
When your sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems are balanced, inflammation in your body is stopped, your immune system is strong, and at night you rest, regenerate, rejuvenate, and strengthen. Stress does not break you, you choose your emotions and your responses to situations. Your hormones are a well-tuned orchestra, juicy and optimally functioning.

The immune system has 10 switches.
The first switch consists of the hypothalamus, liver, and nervous system.
The hypothalamus is the switch of all switches of the hormonal system and in a way the manager of all functions in your body. Whether stress breaks you or cannot touch you depends on your hypothalamus. When stress cannot touch you, it means your cortisol, your stress hormone, is balanced and therefore your immune system is strong.
Imagine the hypothalamus as the secretary of the director of a large organization. The directors of your organism are the pineal gland and the pituitary gland. And if the hypothalamus does not function well, is not in its place, which means it is not well supplied with blood, circulation, oxygen, then the directors do not receive the impulses about which hormones need to be activated and which need to be regulated.
When we are under stress, the hypothalamus is the first to shrink, dry out, and start functioning poorly. Then your sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems can no longer regulate themselves.
When the organism is under stress, in action, when it is attacked by enemies – viruses, emotions… your sympathetic nervous system is active. The organism fights, works, is active. But it also overheats. When you are relaxed, nothing worries you, your parasympathetic nervous system is active. It is time for deep regeneration, deep detoxification, and building. When we are under stress, in fear, in feelings of uncertainty, our sympathetic nervous system is constantly active. Then the organism is fighting, but soon it no longer has fuel for the fight, so this fight becomes very weak and the organism exhausts itself. And when the organism is weak, the immune system cannot function well.
A vicious cycle occurs between the hypothalamus, nervous system, and liver.
When we are under stress, the liver becomes hyperactive. It works excessively because it is directly connected to the nervous system. When the liver works excessively, the organism cannot detoxify and regenerate. And this is essential.
In the first week, everything is maximally focused on activating the hypothalamus. We activate it by bringing circulation, blood, and oxygen there. Regulating cortisol, the stress hormone. When cortisol fluctuates, it opens the door to all kinds of inflammation and destroys the immune system. When we are constantly in a state of elevated cortisol, when a period of calm finally comes and we can relax, only then do we pay for everything the cortisol imbalance has caused. When we are under stress, we only start to feel pain when adrenaline drops, when cortisol lowers – that is when we begin to feel the consequences.
Periods of great stress in life are paid for later.
That is why we work on regulating cortisol, regulating the function of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. We must do this first so that the immune system can function well, so that regeneration can happen, so that emotions are on our side and do not drain us further, and at the same time to protect ourselves from post-traumatic stress disorder.
On the other hand, it is important that our liver functions well. As strong as our liver is, that is how strong we are. The liver is like a general, a strategist, who goes into the front lines and fights for you. The liver must have the opportunity to detoxify, because only then can it protect you.
The hypothalamus affects how much growth hormone is produced in your body, if at all. If you have a lot of growth hormone, you are strong. At the same time, it regulates stress. If the hypothalamus is weak, if it is not juicy, it is like a dried raisin. If the hypothalamus functions well, there are no panic or fear attacks. And even in very difficult circumstances, you find solutions, clarity, strength. You have the power to face difficult trials and come out of them stronger than ever.
When your first immune system switch works, you are juicy and strong.
Sometimes we cannot influence circumstances, but we can influence how we go through them, how we respond to them, and how we use them in the best possible way.
