And how do you slow down? Slowly. 😊 First take five minutes for yourself and focus only on slow, gentle
movements, take slow, loving breaths, and slow down the way you speak. Imagine that you are floating underwater where all quick or sudden movements are impossible.

An ancient yogi practice is to stand up tall and open up your palms to the sunrise, then spend the entire day slowly closing them, and finally, as the sun sets behind the horizon, squeezing them into fists.

It’s enough for you to start focusing on slowing down for a few minutes every day and becoming aware of all your five senses. The sense of smell, sight, sound, taste, and touch.

✨ From Burnout and Stress … to Juicy Goddess ✨

Did you know that you can transform stress into strength and renewal at a moment’s notice? 💞

Our body can experience many different shades of stress. When the stress response is still manageable and below the critical limit of each individual, we call this situation a challenge. But when stress levels become too overwhelming, this is cause for alarm, as prolonged exposure to high levels of the stress hormone cortisol can be harmful to the body - it drains and exhausts the adrenal gland.⭐️

But what we can do is learn to melt stress away and transform it into our personal ball of energy that can lend us new strength with a simple exercise. 

How? ✨

💞 You’ll need a chair that you can sit on with you with your feet touching the ground (alternatively, you can also stand up straight), the K1 acupressure point on the soles of your feet – also know the Bubbling Spring (you are already familiar with this one), your breath, and your focus.

💞 First massage the K1 point or bring you awareness to it, then place your feet onto the ground, and exhale all your stress down into the earth. Release it into the center of the Earth.

💞 Exhale all the way and truly focus on feeling your stress and tension leaving your body and collapsing into the earth. Take as many breaths as you need. Then focus on inhaling the transformed, refreshed energy back into your body through the K1 acupressure point in the form of energy, vitality, and strength.

⭐️ The earth is always there for you. Use it. ⭐️

💞 5 THINGS YOU HAVE TO DO BEFORE YOU GO TO SLEEP 💞

WHAT TO AVOID IN THE EVENING?

❌ Avoid any type of stress at least 1h before bedtime. This includes watching the news, checking our emails “quickly one last time”, tense or difficult conversations with our partners, phone calls with people who “push our buttons”, and watching series and movies that give us an adrenaline rush. 

❌ Avoid any insulin spikes. If we trigger an insulin response in the evening - by eating sweet foods or carbohydrates with a high glycemic index we activate cortisol production... and can kiss our rejuvenation goodbye.

❌ Avoid any and all blue light (from computer screens, phones, certain light-bulbs, etc.). Blue light tricks our brains into thinking it’s still day outside even though it’s already nighttime. So, avoid staring at blue light at least one hour before bed if you want your endocrine system to produce the right hormones during the night. 

WHAT TO DO IN THE EVENING INSTEAD?

✅ Do everything and anything that relaxes you. Taking warm baths, reading a book in the right light or with Blue Blocker glasses, writing a Gratitude Journal, drinking tea…

✅ Massage the kidney acupressure point that we talked about in one of the previous Juicy Hacks and combine it with belly breathing.

✅ Before going to bed do a few breathing exercises using the healing sound HIIIIII, HIIIIIIIIII, HIIIIIIIII, HIIIIIII. This is the sound that cools off an overheated nervous system and stabilizes the endocrine system in Taoist Medicine.

✅ Massage the bellybutton. This is another already mentioned Juicy Hack. This will “pull” any excess energy out of the head and into the reproductive organs, automatically cool down the overheated sympathetic nervous system, and prepare the body for a regenerating night’s sleep.

✅ FOCUS ON PLEASURE! Pleasure is the best stress eraser at our disposal. It is the greatest rejuvenator.

✨COMPLETE DARKNESS IS A MIRACLE WORKER!✨

Do you know what the best rejuvenation therapy on the planet is? What regenerates and strengthens your body more than anything else? Do you know what the best medicine for several health issues is? Master Mantak Chia @mantak_chia has a special retreat option at his Tao Garden. It is called the DARK ROOM. You spent 7-14 days in COMPLETE DARKNESS, eat the right foods and superfoods to promote regeneration, and meditate. After these 7-14 days, people emerge from the darkness completely reborn and looking 10-15 years younger. 

Hopefully in the future, Master Mantak and I will organize such a retreat and add Tao Face Yoga to the mix. Spending as much time as possible in complete darkness during winter will really pay off. ⭐️

Try sleeping in complete darkness and rest as often as you can. This will strengthen and renew your body and mind more than you can imagine.
